Road America
Elkhart Lake, WI
The second weekend for the Formula Car Challenge Midwest was held at Road America as part of the Cat Double National in Elkhart Lake, WI the weekend of May 20-23, 2010. Once again, the weather played a big part during the weekend, with much of the first day being canceled due to heavy fog. Officials scrambled to create a new schedule that packed two full nationals into two days. Due to shortened qualifying, the drivers were tested in their abilities to get it done fast. Jason Vinkemulder took the pole with a time of 2:17.725. Lake Effect Motorsports drivers Jason Vinkemulder and Dale VandenBush finished First and Second in both races.
Jason Vinkemulder, Formula Car Challenge - Midwest Region Series Official, said, "Once again Road
America did a fantastic job hosting the Cat National. It's always a pleasure to drive this course. I'm
happy that the Formula Car Challenge - Midwest Series continues to grow. We're looking forward to
being at Grattan Raceway in Michigan on May 29."
